Between September and November 2021, CECIMO, the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries and related Manufacturing Technologies, organized the third round of its European Additive Manufacturing Survey. This survey aims to assess key market trends in the Additive Manufacturing (AM) sector.
Launched by CECIMO, in cooperation with national associations, the survey enables the collection of quality data directly from industry which contributes towards a European overview of the main trends in the AM market. In the UK, AM-UK alongside the Manufacturing Technologies Association are responsible for collecting the data for this report.
This is the third time CECIMO has conducted this survey, collecting data directly from 3D printing/AM companies that operate in participating countries. It is a six-month survey that will help the industry identify and record trends for key business areas, such as domestic business, AM exports, orders by type of material, client industry demand and investment. The survey does not collect specific sales data, but rather allows companies to express their six-month indications in the key business areas compared to the situation over the previous six months.
