In a move that signals a significant leap forward in their manufacturing capabilities, AME-3D, a leading innovator in the world of additive manufacturing, has announced the acquisition of a new cutting-edge 3D printing machine. This takes their fleet of industrial additive manufacturing machines to 8. This acquisition promises to improve their production processes and bolster their position as a frontrunner in the industry, offering further 3D printing options for their customers.
The newly acquired 3D printing machine, the UnionTech Martrix 520 boasts a range of features including high precision with 0.15mm of detail achievable and print speeds of up to 50mm/h.
AME-3D’s decision to invest in this 3D technology reflects their commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation, and providing fast, effective & high quality 3D printing solutions.
“This acquisition is another steppingstone in the right direction for us,” said Rich Proctor, Managing Director of AME-3D. “The Martrix 520 allows us to significantly reduce lead times whilst continuing to provide high-quality parts, and ultimately deliver greater value to our customers. We are excited to harness the full potential of this technology.”
The Martrix 520 works with a broad material portfolio and with it, AME-3D is adding 6 new materials to its offering. These materials will allow for the creation of prototypes and end-use parts that require various different properties. This includes higher temperature resistance, easy burn out for investment casting, flexible rubber-like and a resin aimed specifically at dental applications. This versatility opens up new possibilities for AME-3D, as they can now provide their clients with different solutions relating to DLP 3D printing. The print volume size of this new machine is 298 x 165 x 320mm.
One of the key advantages of the new machine is its print speed of up to 50mm/h. In comparison to their larger, industrial 3D printing machines, this is a great solution for pushing quicker turnaround times with just as much detail and accuracy on parts.
In addition to reducing lead times and increasing efficiency, the UnionTech Martrix 520 further increases AME-3D’s low-volume production ability. Physically smaller components and projects can be pushed through AME-3D’s workshop more quickly and at higher, repeatable volumes.
The 3D printing industry has seen remarkable growth in recent years, with applications spanning from aerospace and automotive to healthcare and consumer goods. AME 3D’s acquisition of the Martrix 520 positions them to take full advantage of this growth and continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in additive manufacturing.
As AME gears up to integrate the new machine into its operations, the future looks promising for this local Sheffield manufacturer. With a commitment to innovation and a newfound ability to bring customers’ ideas to life with unprecedented precision and speed, they are well-positioned to remain a leader in their field for years to come.
In a move that signals a significant leap forward in our manufacturing capabilities, we are proud to announce the acquisition of a new cutting-edge 3D printing machine into our current fleet. This acquisition promises to improve our production processes, offering further flexible 3D printing options for our customers.
